Amid the coronavirus pandemic, it has been difficult for immigration lawyers to meet with their clients, gather evidence, and complete visa petitions. Though USCIS has recently waived fingerprinting requirements and relaxed some evidence deadlines, many deadlines are still in place. A lawsuit filed by the American Immigration Lawyers Association has sought the suspension of those deadlines. The lawsuit was filed on Friday, April 3.
