Motel 6 shared more than 100,000 people’s information with ICE. Now, the affected guests can file claims as part of a $12 million settlement with Washington state. The Washington Attorney General said that Motel 6 violated its guests’ privacy when it turned over the guest lists without a warrant. ICE then investigated those with latino names, which led to some being deported.
