After the Supreme Court rejected adding the citizenship question to the census, President Trump issued an executive order instructing DHS to share its information with the census. The shared citizenship information includes personally identifiable information, according to a DHS document posted on December 27. However, it is not clear whether using various DHS data will give an accurate determination of citizenship.
